Programme Trainee

Fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated and resourceful graduate to gain experience working in a busy multi-genre arts venue. Working closely with the artistic team (Chief Executive, Artistic Programmer and Learning & Participation Manager) and reporting directly to the Artistic Programmer, you will help administer and co-ordinate the programme at the Brewhouse Theatre and Arts Centre.

The venue opened under new management in 2014 and has experienced exponential growth attracting some 44,000 visitors each year. The Brewhouse is a multipurpose venue with a 352-seat auditorium, studio theatre, workshop spaces, meeting rooms, gallery, café/bar and outdoor area. Run by a small team of professionals assisted by a large team of volunteers, the programme includes a range of high-quality live performances, cinema, exhibitions and participation activities.

Local community theatre and school productions are included along with external conference and meetings. The organisation is young and ambitious, the environment exciting and fast-paced. The ideal candidate will be an excellent team player and confident to contribute ideas to help grow and improve the business.
