In this workshop with photographer Sam White we will learn about the varied history of the camera obscura, seeing how it was put to use by both artists and scientists. We’ll recreate a technique thought to have been used by Vermeer to create his masterpieces – using the camera obscura to project images that can be traced by hand onto canvas.
