Theatre Unwrapped‘ is part of  The Brewhouse Theatre’s programme of cultivation activities, designed to explore theatrical events in our programme through curated discussion groups and Q&A sessions with visiting companies and artists.

Each month we explore text (a book or a play) that has been adapted for stage or screen and is due to be presented at The Brewhouse Theatre.  A bit like a book club for Theatre!

The Brew Literary Group takes place on the first Thursday of the month from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.

24 May Macbeth: Shakespeare (script & either ROH opera or RSC play).
PLEASE NOTE that this event will take place in the Studio Theatre on this evening.

If you are interested in Macbeth and attending our Theatre Unwrapped Session, you may be interested in attending the NT Live Event Cinema screening of Macbeth on 10 May.

USEFUL NOTES: The group is encouraged to read texts in advance and discuss themes in a ‘book-club’ style fashion. The group leader passes on any relevant information from the performing company as to how they approached their adaptation and interesting facts about their production. Sessions are free and everyone is welcome to join the conversation.

Brendon Books will give you a 10% discount on any plays or books we are reading, if you order through them, just mention you are with The Brewhouse group.  Brendon Books is located in Bath Place, Taunton and you can call to place an order:  01823 337742.
