An original story inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s well-loved tale, ‘Swan Lake’ and the many myths and legends that ‘swan around’ the world inspired by that bird of elegance and beauty – the Swan

DISASTER! – follow the adventures of a young swan after losing its home… Aah!

ENEMIES! – meet the characters that ignore and wish the young swan harm… Boo!

FIGHT! – join in, act out and dance through the swan’s struggle for freedom in our pre-show Playshop to be performed in the show on stage… Ooo!

HAPPY EVER AFTER…? Find out how our story will end, will it be a ‘swan song’ or, like a phoenix, will our cygnet rise from the ashes of doom and despair… Hmm?

Original story written and performed by Michael Loader with live swan-themed music by Tchaikovsky and Saint Saëns performed by Alison Francis Black (Lochrian Ensemble and Vervain) violin and voice and Martin Solomon (Pindrop Band and Scratchy Folk Orchestra) accordion, harp, saw and drain pipes!
