CINEMA: Based on the book of the same name by M.L.Stedman, this is a gripping emotional roller-coaster that has, at its heart, a series of unenviable dilemmas.

Tom is a lighthouse keeper on the coast of Western Australia who one day discovers a boat washed ashore containing a dead man and a frightened baby girl. Having unsuccessfully tried to start a family of their own, Tom and his wife Isabel (Alicia Vikander) decide to bury the dead man and keep the baby for themselves.

As fate would have it though, the baby’s mother (Rachel Weisz) appears, Tom’s conscience and resolve are tested and a primal struggle between maternal instinct and moral responsibility take the story to a heart-breaking conclusion.
