Chris & Pui have been a double-act for over a decade working everyday on CBeebies – the BBC’s pre-school brand.
They currently star in their own programme, ‘Show Me Show Me’, which airs twice a day and fulfils the old ‘Play School’ remit with its promise of early discovery through songs, rhymes and imaginative play. They’ve filmed 6 series with many seasonal special editions.
Pui Fan Lee first appeared on children’s television as a child in ‘Murphy’s Mob’ & ‘Your Mother Wouldn’t like it’in the 1980s. Since then she has hosted ‘Words & Pictures’ as well as ‘Fun with Phonics’. In the mid 1990s she rose to fame as the creator, voice and actor behind ‘Po’ in the ‘Teletubbies’. She has starred in radio plays, TV dramas, pantos and movies, most recently ‘Bridget Jones 2’.
Chris Jarvis started his career in Variety and radio as an impressionist & character actor, moving into children’s BBC television in 1993. Since then he has hosted shows for all ages : the ‘Broom Cupboard’, ‘Friday Zone’, ‘Fully Booked’, ‘Look Sharp’, ‘Playdays’, ‘Step Inside’, ‘Stargazing’ and, for the past 15 years, CBeebies. Off telly, he has starred, written and directed many professional pantos.
Chris and Pui appear in other shows including the ‘CBeebies pantomimes’. They have recently devised and written ‘Old Jack’s Boat’, a storytelling drama for CBeebies starring Bernard Cribbins.
