Christopher Nolan returns with his latest big-budget, high-concept  blockbuster that is sure to leave you questioning your reality.

In a twilight world of international espionage, an unnamed CIA operative, known as The Protagonist (John David Washington), is recruited by a mysterious organization called Tenet alongside Neil (Robert Pattinson) to participate in a global assignment that unfolds beyond real time.

The mission: prevent Andrei Sator, a renegade Russian oligarch (Kenneth Branagh) with precognition abilities, from starting World War III.

Upon receiving his assignment The Protagonist soon masters the art of “time inversion” as a way of countering the threat that is to come.

“Go with it, and Christopher Nolan’s high-concept action romp will leave you ripping off your face mask for air, even as you wonder what it was all about.”
Peter Bradshaw, The Guardian

Director Christopher Nolan is a huge fan of the James Bond movies, and that love of the spy genre flows through Tenet (2020).

Nolan tried his best not to watch any movies that may overtly influence him while working on Tenet – this was the longest period of time the director had ever gone in his life without watching a Bond film!
