Clint Eastwood stars in this 1966 Spaghetti Western and cinematic classic by Sergio Leone, whose direction and artistic vision lead to the creation of this now famed genre.
In an attempt to break away from the wholesome, family image that he acquired during his rise to fame in TV series, Rawhide (1959 – 65), Clint Eastwood helped to create some of the most iconic characters in cinema and did so by playing the consummate anti-hero across a number of Leone’s Westerns.
Originally billed as the third and final installment in the “Dollars” trilogy, The Good The Bad and The Ugly sees three gun slingers (including Clint) seek a buried fortune of Confederate gold during the American Civil War.
Sergio Leone’s films were MADE to be seen on the big screen, with parched landscapes that consume characters whole, and close-ups that fill the screen to build narrative tension. Don’t miss your chance to see this film the way it should be seen.
