Shakespeare’s Globe on Tour present a trio of plays exploring contemporary themes.

After SELL-OUT performances at The Brewhouse in 2019 we’re privileged to welcome back the brilliant, Shakespeare’s Globe On Tour, presenting a series of performances that will have you laughing, crying and cheering along in this highly interactive and unique form of theatre.

The plays are performed as a touring production would have been staged in the 17th century, with a stripped back booth stage and a small, versatile troupe of actors.

The Tempest

Inspired by reports of the first English colonies in the West Indies and imbued with a spirit of magic and the supernatural, The Tempest is Shakespeare’s late great masterpiece of forgiveness, generosity and enlightenment. Powerful sorcerer Prospero and his daughter Miranda are stranded on a mysterious desert island. When his enemy, the King of Naples and his noblemen are shipwrecked there, Prospero finally has the chance at revenge – will he get it in the end, and most importantly, will he still desire it?

Stick around after the performance for an exclusive Q&A event with the performers!
