Winner of the Oscars Best Picture 2019 and Palme d’Or at Cannes Film Festival, Bong Joon-ho (Snowpiercer, Okja) returns with this black comedy about wealth, greed and class discrimination.

Kim Ki-teak’s (Song Kang-ho) family are all unemployed and living in a squalid basement when his son gets a tutoring job at the lavish home of the Park family, this is when the Kim family’s luck changes. One by one they gradually infiltrate the wealthy Park’s home, attempting to take over their affluent lifestyle.

WHAT THE PRESS SAY
“Sharp as a knife, and just as deadly….it’s been hyped to death since Cannes, but with good reason.”
★★★★★ Little White Lies

“Bong Joon-ho’s bizarre black comedy about a rich Korean family and a poor one in a modern-day Downton Abbey situation gets its tendrils in you.”
The Guardian

DID YOU KNOW…?
The film makes several nods to Alfred Hitchcock throughout. Stairs are used as a motif, voyeurism is used as characters watch scenes through windows 14 times, and (most obviously) there is a brief glimpse of an out of place Alfred Hitchcock collection in the Park’s home.
