An expressive acrylic painting workshop with artist and ‘Develop Your Painting’ workshop leader, Sara Dudman RWA.
This workshop will focus on developing your painterly mark-making, gesture, energy and expression. We will focus on ‘evoking’ rather than ‘describing’ subject-matter, working specifically from coastal imagery. Let loose the inner artist within you in this one-day painting workshop. During the day, Sara will guide you through tried and trusted ideas and techniques for creating expressive paintings, evoking the experience of being by the coast.
There will be a lunch break in the middle of the day with time to buy lunch from the in-house coffee shop or please feel bring along a packed lunch to eat. Tea and coffee will be supplied at the start of the day.
The ticket price includes a basic painting kit with the following items:
A primed canvas
Acrylic brushes – various sizes including some larger flat brushes
An old plate for mixing colours
A3 drawing paper + charcoal
Please bring along your own apron to wear and any other materials of your own you would like to use.
