An acrylic painting workshop with artist Sara Dudman RWA. This workshop will focus on mixing and applying colours in acrylics to express and interpret the colours of the coast on canvas. Let loose the inner artist within you in this one-day painting workshop.
A looseness of style, vitality and gestural marks are the hallmarks of Sara’s paintings. During the day, Sara will guide you through tried and trusted techniques for colour-mixing and understanding colour relationships to create expressive paintings. The day will be all about creating paintings of coasts with energy and lots of subtle colour-mixing and layering to evoke the light and life of the coast.
During the day participants will learn about colour harmonies and contrasts and how to use these to enliven their paintings. We will also lightly delve into some simple colour theory and learn a bit about the science of colour too!
All participants will take away their own drawings and a unique 30 x 30cm acrylic painting on canvas at the end of the day.
The ticket price includes a basic painting kit with the following items:
Please bring along your own apron to wear and any other materials of your own you would like to use.
