The Brewhouse’s annual season of outdoor activities is here again!
Meet us outside in the fresh air, next to the River Tone and try your hand at a series of crafty activities and fun family events.
COMMUNITY SCULPTURE PROJECT
THUR 6 AUG
Try your hand at willow weaving with experts Amy & Meg. Help to create a permanent sculpture that will take pride of place outside The Brewhouse for everyone to enjoy!
This project forms part of ‘Here & Now’, a nationwide celebration of arts and culture, funded by The National Lottery. The Brewhouse is one of just 40 organisations from across the UK chosen to be involved in this project and we are working in partnership with one of our Associate Companies, Wassail Theatre to produce Whispering Willows.
This community sculpture gives you the chance to get involved with part of this exciting project, creating a giant willow sculpture that reflects Somerset’s stories and creatures.
THUR 13 AUG
This workshop is for families to come & create a colourful reflection of the River Tone using ceramic pieces, glass beads, pebbles and shells. Each family will be able to work on a small square section, which will then be joined together to form the larger image of the River Tone. The completed community mosaic will then be mounted and displayed at The Brewhouse.
