“I’ve learnt more in the first 10 minutes of this class than I have ever done, it’s great to be shown a variety of techniques that I can use again at home” – session participant
Everyone is welcome – beginners and more experienced artists alike.
SESSIONS:
18 May: Pixelated Pictures.
A Pixellated picture is created by using a grid to break down an image into squares and then finding the closest colour match, select one colour only for each square. The result is an interesting, geometric abstract image.
25 May: Silverpoint.
Silverpoint is an ancient technique, much used by artists such as Leonardo Da Vinci. It involves using a silver or lead item…maybe an earing or old toy soldier and using it as a drawing implement. A similar modern effect can be achieved using a silver gel pen.
