Drop in to try making digital art with Alison Jacobs. Bring your own device or use our tablets (kindly loaned by Somerset Film) for this special workshop. Make something exciting and share it online to our virtual gallery using the #BrewDigitalDraw on your favourite social media channel.
This activity is suitable for children aged 6+ but best suited to older young people, younger siblings are welcome to come along but we suggest a minimum ratio of one adult to 3 children. No unaccompanied under 18’s please. This is a fun session exploring digital creation with Alison as part of Tyca – Taunton’s Youth Arts Festival.
We strongly advise booking your tickets to this activity in advance. Places are limited and we do not accept reservations, so arriving on the day may result in disappointment. Booking in advance also helps our workshop leaders to prepare your session and plan for any additional access needs you may have ahead of time.
Alison is an artist from Somerset who lives and works in the countryside exploring the rural landscape and environment, which is an important influence on her work. She helped build, set up and run Contains Art as a volunteer Director and studio holder where she worked in a shipping container on the East Quay of Watchet for 3 years. Alison has been working on a project to document and celebrate the recently closed Wansbrough Paper Mill. She is an avid sketchbook and iPad Artist and loves to share her passion for Art in her workshops.
Saturday 2 November 2019 – Tyca Festival at The Brewhouse
The Brewhouse are pleased to be offering an exciting programme of free creative youth activities as part of the Tyca Festival, which is open to all young people aged 5-25 from Taunton and the surrounding areas. A chance for you to try something new, work with fantastic creative professionals and feel inspired.

• Gamelan Workshops with Actiontrack Performance Company
10.30am – 11.45am, 12.45pm – 2pm and 2.30pm – 3.45pm
• Musical Theatre Workshops with choreographer Penelope Simons
10am – 11am for age 7 – 11 years / 11.30am – 1pm for age 12+
• Devised Theatre Workshops with Wassail Theatre Company
2pm – 3pm for age 7 – 11 years / 3.15pm – 4.15pm for age 12+
All activities will take place at The Brewhouse, tickets for all the sessions are free and can be booked in advance from www.thebrewhouse.net or our box office on 01823 283244.
