Try out our Brewhouse Youth Theatre in this short taster session. Instead of producing existing scripts or well-known musicals, members of our Youth Theatre create their own original plays about Somerset. We talk a lot about making plays that are authentic and entertaining. We take inspiration for ideas from amazing stories that come from Somerset. In this one hour taster you will find out how the group work and start devising your own piece. A willingness to play and experiment is essential.
This activity is suitable for the age groups specified and young people are asked to complete a Registration Form for children and young people 2019. Space is limited in the studio so parents and carers can wait in the cafe area while the workshop is taking place. This is a fun session exploring theatre making as part Tyca – Taunton’s Youth Arts Festival.
Workshops are at 2pm for 7 – 11 year olds and 3.15pm for 12+ years.
We strongly advise booking your tickets to this activity in advance. Places are limited and we do not accept reservations, so arriving on the day may result in disappointment. Booking in advance also helps our workshop leaders to prepare your session and plan for any additional access needs you may have ahead of time.
