A great opportunity for young people aged between 8-16 years to take part in an inspiring workshop designed to give an exciting insight into the world of a professional dancer.
Taught by and with artists of the Vienna Festival Ballet, you will get the opportunity to see life backstage as well as costumes from the productions. At the end of each workshop there will be an opportunity to participate in “question and answer” sessions with the dancers.
Starting with a short ballet class focusing on technical elements of flexibility, strength and alignment; you will then learn extracts from the production of Swan Lake, where you will be able to explore artistry and expressive qualities which bring this story to life. You will then get the opportunity to watch an open company rehearsal with dancers in costume. Here you can see all the hard work that brings the sparkle to the performance.
Limited availability. Early booking strongly advised.
NOTE: This is a children’s workshop only. Adults MUST accompany their children but do not need to purchase a ticket. Unaccompanied children will not be permitted to take part.
