The Brewhouse is very excited to announce that they are appointing a Youth Advisory Board. This will be made up of a diverse range of young people who are passionate about the arts and creativity, and who are interested and actively engaged in social and political issues in their own unique ways.

The Youth Board will meet once a month at the Brewhouse, facilitated by an arts professional.

The Youth Board will have decision-making influence on what theatre, film, visual art and creative workshops are programmed at the Brewhouse. They will also be offered exclusive training opportunities in performance, writing, producing, and project management. Schools whose students become part of the Brewhouse Youth Board will have access to a selection of live streamed shows (for use as part of curricular/extra-curricular activities).

A potential goal for the Youth Board will be to plan and curate a festival of workshops, films and performances: during the first two months of meetings the group will be facilitated in discussions to discover their collective aim before embarking on a journey of learning to plan the event(s) they decide upon.

Youth Board will meet on the third Friday of the month, starting May 21st 2021 (there will be no meeting in August). The sessions are free of charge to those young people invited to join, and will run from 17:30-19:15.

Please take a look at the application form below and send it to Deborah by May 2nd if you wish to apply.

All young people will need to fill in an application form to apply.

Once invited to join, all young people will need a completed permission form to attend.
