Jonathan Agnew was a fast-bowler for Leicestershire and won 3 Test caps for England (plus 3 One-Day Internationals) in the 1980s. While still a player, he started his career in cricket journalism and commentary, becoming the leading and well-loved voice of cricket on the radio in his Test Match Specials. And, of course, you’ll have to ask him about the 1991 “Leg Over” incident that had co-commentator Brian Johnson giggling so much he was unable to continue with his broadcast! (which was voted “the greatest sporting commentary ever” in a BBC Radio 5 Live poll – and supposedly forced thousands of commuters driving home from work to stop driving because they were laughing so much, causing a two-mile traffic jam at the Dartford Tunnel!
