The Brewhouse Young Company Present
Romeo and Juliet

Wednesday 19 August 2009 - Saturday 22 August 2009

For never was a story of more woe,
Than this of Juliet and her Romeo.

It’s summer on the streets of Verona, where passion and violence hold sway beneath the oppressive heat of the midday sun. Caught up in the fighting between the hot-headed Capulets and the fiery Montagues are Romeo and Juliet, two teenage lovers who are willing to risk everything to be together. But as events spiral out of their control discovery is never far away and only a dangerous plan conceived in desperation can hope to reunite them….

Following last year’s critically acclaimed production of Macbeth, this August Shakespeare’s tragic tale of star-crossed lovers will be performed in a high-energy and fast-paced promenade production in the theatre and around unseen parts of The Brewhouse. With live music guiding you through the production from our very own house band Romeo & Juliet promises to be an exciting and moving experience.
