FAMILY SHOW

A new adaptation by Simon Persighetti
with music by Nick Brace

It's not too late to celebrate the festive season with an enchanting theatrical treat for all the family - we still have a good selection of tickets for selected shows over the festive period - just contact the Box Office on 01823 283244 to check availability.

The discovery of an old glass slipper in the ashes of a fireplace in the Great Hall leads to a magical retelling of the ancient Chinese rags to riches story of the beautiful Cinderella. Following the death of her loving mother, she is treated as a servant in her own home by her Stepmother and two Stepsisters.

Everything changes with the appearance of the Fairy Godmother, however, who offers a magical transformation that leads ‘Cinders’ away from the fireplace and into a world of palaces and pleasure domes. Enchanting the Prince with her loveliness, Cinderella rushes from the royal festivities before the magic evaporates leaving behind just one clue to her identity… a glass slipper!

Will the Stepsisters fit their ‘dainty’ feet into the Glass Slipper without shattering the Prince’s dreams? Will Cinderella get the happy ending we all know she deserves? Join us to hum along with the harmonies, marvel at the magic and giggle at the gags in our stylish presentation of this timeless favourite, brought to the stage by the same creative team behind last year’s acclaimed A Christmas Carol.
