The Turning of the Year
Storytelling for Adults
The Turning of the Year
Tuesday 21 April 2009
The power of words taking you on a journey of the imagination…
Wild Words are accomplished storytellers Martin Maudsley, Jane Flood and Michael Loader, accompanied by multi-instrumentalist Fiona Barrow. They are inspired by nature and tell traditional stories from the four corners of the earth that celebrate "The Wild" and play with our constant love, respect and enduring fascination with it.
With the days lengthening and nature bursting forth, we will celebrate this glorious, life-affirming, time of year with stories and tales that sing, dance and play with the turning of the seasons and the greening of the land. Lookout for a green man, a talking bird, and a few of the old folk, the ones who were here in the before times!
Start Time: 7.30pm
Running Time: 2hrs
Age 14yrs+
Tickets: £8 all seats
Wild Words will be leading a series of Storytelling Workshops on Thursdays from 2 - 23 April, at 7 - 8.30pm.
