Celebrate the best of local community arts and entertainment as Taunton’s amazing array of performance societies join forces to present a fabulous gala event, showcasing the talent that formed the very foundation of The Brewhouse’s history.
Compered by Tom Owen (best known for playing Tom in Last Of The Summer Wine).
Taunton Thespians present two stories A Defenceless Creature and Surgery from Neil Simon’s Adaptations of Chekhov (The Good Doctor).
Taunton Scout and Guide Gang Show will be performing two scenes from their forthcoming show made up of songs old and new complimented by slick choreographed routines.
Taunton Wayfarers will be recreating several big musical numbers (I’m So Excited, The Ying Tong Song and Hot Honey Rag) from this year’s hit pantomime Aladdin as well as a comedy sketch.
Taunton Wayfarers Youth Group (TWYGs) will be singing and dancing to Fame, Shiny Happy People, Food Glorious Food and Mamma Mia!
Somerset Opera present Finale Act I and Tit Willow from their recent production of The Mikado by Gilbert and Sullivan as well as The Prologue from Pagliacci by Leoncavallo.
Pre-show entertainment in the Café Bar will be provided by Taunton Suzuki Violin Group.
The proceeds from this event pay for automatic doors improving access to The Brewhouse.
