Vienna Festival Ballet
A traditional style production of this well loved ballet, danced to the music of Delibes.
Perhaps one of the most magical and comical of the classics, a ballet full of humour, triumph and love, culminating with the wedding Pas de Deux by the young couple.
Dr. Coppelius, a toy-maker, has made a beautiful mechanical doll, and named her Coppélia. He places her in his shop window, where the local villagers are amazed by her, and even begin to believe she is real. One of the villagers, Swanhilda gets jealous when she sees Franz, another villager, blowing kisses at Coppélia. Swanhilda and some of her friends break into the toy shop one day, but are caught by Dr. Coppelius. Dr. Coppelius tries to bring Coppélia to life only to find out that he had been tricked by Swanhilda and Franz.
Vienna Festival Ballet bring to life this lively ballet, infused with old world charm suitable for the whole family.
