The Brewhouse 35th Birthday Gala

Join us for our wonderful 35th birthday party, a night of celebration with a variety of arts and entertainment to illustrate the success of The Brewhouse over the years hosted by Tom Owen & Robert Miles Looking back to the beginning when 450 intrepid volunteers came together to create a venue in Somerset’s County Town – the Big Society of the 1970s. We shall celebrate the careers of our patrons Ned Sherrin and Stephen Daldry, both local boys with an international reach.
There will be performances from:
- Aaron Romano (Duchess/King of Hearts, Alice In Wonderland; Aslan, The Lion The Witch And The Wardrobe)
- Ceri Larcombe - songs from the shows
- Angie Ward, Stuart Packer - excerpts from The Summer Set
- Corinne Curtis (former Young Company member)
- Gill Reed (soprano)
- Mirek Salmon - Musical Director
There will be a participatory birthday song composed by Nick Brace, and a volunteer presentation and history by John Meikle.
We will also be looking to the future and creating more patrons to help us deliver the exciting vision for The Brewhouse to become bigger and better as part of Taunton’s Cultural Quarter alongside the enhanced Cricket Club and Castle Museum.
Expect special guests, surprise announcements, prizes and presentations.
