Youth Theatre
The Brewhouse Youth Theatre offers young people aged 8 – 18 the chance to take part in exciting sessions run by professional practitioners at Somerset’s leading creative hub. Over the year participants will develop skills in an innovative and supportive environment, whilst working towards live performance opportunities. This is the ideal experience for anyone with a desire to learn more about theatre and get involved.

First Act (School Years 4 – 6)
In these fun, creative learning sessions you will use theatre games to build self-confidence, develop skills and make great friends. Each term will explore a specific theme and will lead towards a showcase performed to your family in The Brewhouse Studio.

Second Act (School Years 7 – 9)
Have you a passion for theatre? Want to act, direct, or just be part of something truly inspiring? Then this group is for you. Throughout the year you will learn all about performance, by developing theatre skills through games and creative workshops.

Encore! (School Years 10 – 13)
These sessions, run in association with Somerset College, are a chance to make full use of The Brewhouse’s professional resources, offering fun and stimulating training that will explore different aspects of performance, from voice and character techniques, to scripted work, physical theatre and devising performance. These workshops will lead to a main house performance after Easter and a college certification.
