Weekly Workshops
Our inclusive weekly programme is open to young people of all abilities.

Saturday Drama –
Saturdays from 20 September until 6 November (excl. 25 Oct & 1 Nov)
First Act 10am – 12pm, 8 – 10 yrs
Second Act 10am – 12pm, 11 – 12 yrs
Encore 1 – 3pm, 13 – 15 yrs
£55 for 10 sessions
First Act will introduce you to drama by playing fun games and rehearsing plays. Second Act will allow you to devise and learn a whole play to perform at the end of term and Encore will teach you fundamental acting skills to develop your talent.

Monday Vision House
Mondays from 22 September until 1 December (excl. 27 Oct)
5 - 6pm, 8 – 12years
£55 for 10 sessions
This fun weekly workshop will allow your creative juices to flow. You’ll be introduced to lots of different medias and themes. The artwork produced will form an exhibition at the end of each term.

Wednesday Movers & Shakers
Wednesday Evenings from 24 September until 3 December (excl. 29 Oct)
5 - 6pm, 7 – 13 yrs
£55 for 10 sessions
Do you ever watch music videos and wish you could dance like the stars? Well with this weekly workshop you can!  Over the term you will learn and then perform a dance routine to a hip hop beat.

Celebration of Light Festival
27 October - 2 November 2008
The Celebration of Light Festival promises to light up the autumn skies, with a week of events, participatory workshops and performances taking place in and around The Brewhouse.  Look out  for events marked with a red lantern.

October Half Term Workshops
Our workshops offer young people of all abilities the opportunity to work with theatre professionals exploring arts activities in a safe, creative, fun-filled environment.

Animation Workshop

Mon 27 October,
10am – 1pm
7 – 11 yrs, £8
Create your very own animation of lights and shadows, colours and patterns, stories and cultures and then watch as the light fades outside and your creations come to life on the pavements.



Is this our Carnival?
Tues 28 October, 10.30am – 4pm
5 – 9 yrs, £25
Join our Carnival Extravaganza! Create the costume, make the instruments and learn the moves, then take the carnival spirit to the streets in our ‘rhythm parade’.

Big, Shiny Lights

Parent and toddler session

3 – 6yrs + carers, £3 child / £4 adult
With chilly old winter on it's way, come and listen to tales about ‘Light’ from all over the world to make you laugh and chase away the gloom! With Beth Webb, an internationally known children's author and storyteller.

Meet the Author
Wed 29 October, 11am - 12pm
FREE Parents/guardians must accompany their child.
Why not spend an hour of your half term holidays meeting and listening to professional authors read from their books. Internationally acclaimed authors, including Beth Webb will be signing books and telling stories in The Brewhouse Café Bar. Books that you may know of that Beth Webb has written include – Junk Yard Dragon, The Flee Bag Trilogy, Star Dancer and Fire Dancer.

Bonfire Time

Thurs 30 October,
10am – 12pm
5 – 8 yrs, £8
Come and make wire lanterns in our bonfire-lit Studio Theatre, create a lantern-lit walkway and watch what comes out of the shadows!

Carnival Costume
Fri 31 October, 11am – 1pm
6 – 10 yrs, £8
From shiny wigs to feathered hats, to grass skirts and leathered macs, create your own carnival costumes and musical intstruments and parade around in style.
