| We greatly enjoyed the challenge of last night’s opening performance. It started with a bang and carried on throughout the uninterrupted play at a fast and furious pace, the actors never leaving the stage. The set and production re-created the threatening climate and environment of Former Yugoslavia during the war where it was dangerous to be on the streets, day and night. The transitions between character alter egos were impressive, particularly in the Dogberry scenes. We were thoroughly entertained by a mix of excellent acting, original music and accomplished playing and singing. Having not seen the Red Shift Theatre Company perform before, we were uncertain what to expect but it was a great adaptation not to be missed. Thank you for a most entertaining evening. Bill & Sue |
