| I was thrilled to see that John Lill was once again to be playing at the Brewhouse last Tuesday. However I have to say that I was shocked and embarrassed by the tinny old wreck of a piano that he was provided with. Not only did it look shabby, but the bass notes twanged with such a metallic vibration that they completely ruined any loud passages of music. At times I even wondered whether the piano was going to fall apart completely. Please - if you are fortunate enough to obtain the services of such an outstanding musician again - provide him with a decent instrument! |

| I cannot understand how the Brewhouse can expect high calibre professional pianists to play on such a poor quality piano as that which was used on Tuesday night.And the noise from the ventilation system was the last straw. It utterly ruined the quiet movements such as in the Mozart.I for one will not be booking any more seats for classical piano concerts until a decent quality piano is obtained. |
