Please leave feedback for the Lazy Lounge.

We went to the lounge on Sunday as it sounded a lovely way to spend Sunday afternoon. However, it was bizarre that a music trio which was obviously hired to set a relaxed and chilled out atmosphere was trying to compete with dozens of excited kids queueing to go ice skating! The group was poorly situated and the ambience was ruined by the ice skating crowd and the bar area seems to be a continuation of the entrance without any sense of it being nice and exclusive. We unfortunately did not stay, the group looked a bit cheesed off as well as there were hardly any customers. We really want to support this in future but you really need to plan it better. Thank you. Calvin

Hi Mike and Willow, thanks for the feedback - I don't quite understand the terrorist reference either! I accept this feedback in the spirit it is offered and without going into too much detail I would like to apologise for the bad service on Sunday. We launch our new bar this afternoon, and as we have done minimal marketing on our free events so far we did not expect such a big order so early on Sunday. We should have noted your request through box office and I apologise - although we don't take table bookings on Sundays your inquiry should have been passed on. We had only one member of staff in the kitchen, and we had agreed to feed the band (18 players) as part of the deal so your order broke our fragile system. In hindsight I should have talked to you on Sunday to apologise and explain. Really sorry, we will do better and please don't give up on us. A good business will admit when it is wrong, and we were! So sorry and thanks again for your support and honest feedback.

I have to say I went to the lazy lounge and ordered food. It was timely and good but yes expensive. I feel it awful that you tried to book and were told that no breakfast was available. Have you reported the person you spoke to? did you try to phone someone? i support the organisation and I have little cause to complain. I feel attacking a charity with a lack of funding is not really constructive. Supporting them and sending a private email detailing the issues you highlight would be supportive. It seems to me the people who told you that you could not book and did not warn the chef of the influx are is at fault here. It seems like a terrorist stance is adopted when a department or member of staff does not assist in the planning of a new event.

12 of us attended the Brewhouse on Sunday 28th September to listen to the Taunton Ukulele Band. The atmosphere was fantastic ,the venue perfect ,but I am afraid the occasion was spoiled . The following list is meant to be constructive criticism -I phoned the Brewhouse on thursday to book a table for 12 people for breakfast on the Sunday .I was told that "we don't do breakfast's on Sundays" and I cannot book ....."it's 1st come 1st served" -We came any way as we knew you do breakfasts in the Lazy lounge -We arrived at 11.10am and couldn't be served with coffee ,tea etc for over 40 minutes -We put an order in for breakfast at 11.45 (ours was the 1st order ).We received our food over 1 hour later . The Brewhouse advertised breakfast "from 11.30 am" -The toast for the food came longs after we had eaten our breakfast -when we had eaten6 of our group left to eat at another restaurant as they felt the portions were so inadequate .Even if they had ordered more food at the brewhouse we realized we would have to wait at least another hour -At no stage did any of your staff come to explain the difficult situation .We discovered your predicament after we had all finished eating and then enquiring as if we were to consider returning in future we would certainly not be happy with service like that. -I gather you weren't expecting so many customers . -Had I have been able to book a table when I enquired on the thursday, you might have been able to plan appropriately - By the way the food was good but in the circumstaces overpriced. - We support the Brewhouse as much as we can, enjoy the Comedy on Mondays and come to quite a few shows. Please take these comments as constructive Mike Wolfman
