Please leave feedback for The Lord Chamberlain's Mens' Much Ado About Nothing

As an evening out it certainly worked, in the Castle courtyard. The company were very good in projecting themselves out of doors, the performance was entertaining, inventive and lively, and the musical content really excellent. Not the best production of Much Ado About Nothing I've seen, but it paid homage to Shakespeare's early comic style, much in the manner of The Comedy of Errors, Twelfth Night, etc. Good choice of play for the evening and location, and I'll be looking forward to more of the same next year. One thing I could have done without was a theatre company using men as women. Its all very well trying to recreate the Elisabethan tradition, but I'd rather just have had the authentic romance between man and woman as it was written. Having said that, it all worked and clicked. The Lord's Chamberlain's Men deserve due credit.
