Actor-turned-director Sarah Polley brings the intelligence and warmth present in her debut Away From Her, to her latest film, Take This Waltz, a frank account of marital infidelity. Michelle Williams and Seth Rogen play Margot and Lou, a married couple whose relationship has become more platonic than sexual, leading to Margot’s attraction towards a neighbour. Beautifully written, with understated performances by the leads and excellent support from Sarah Silverman and Luke Kirby, Take This Waltz is an impressive and compassionate drama.
