The Imposter, Bart Layton’s impressive feature documentary debut, recalls the best investigative work of Errol Morris. At the age of 13, Nicholas Barclay disappeared from his home in San Antonio, Texas. He was found, over three years later, in Spain, all alone and with no identification. When he returned home, it slowly dawned on family, friends and investigators that this person may not be who he claimed to be. What unfolds is the bizarre story of this odd imposter.
