At The Brewhouse we are committed to making all forms of art as accessible as possible, and we want your visit here to be an enjoyable one.  We therefore offer a wide range of facilities and performances to ensure that your experience is a comfortable and pleasurable one.

Facilities

  • Three disabled parking spaces located within The Brewhouse staff car park.
  • Wheelchair access
  • 3 wheelchair positions (3’4” x 3’4”) in the auditorium. Accompanying assistant goes free.
  • Toilet for wheelchair users.
  • Wheelchair access to bar / restaurant, gallery and toilets.
  • Sign language interpreted performances for Deaf or audio impaired performances
  • Induction loop system for audio described performances for audiences who are Blind or visually impaired.
  • Touch tours
  • Large print brochure available on request.
  • Guide dogs are welcome.


Access for wheelchair users and people with mobility difficulties.
 

Wheelchair users can access The Brewhouse by using the ramped entrance to the Box Office. This then leads to the bar / restaurant area, gallery, studio, workshop and main house auditorium.

Front of House Wheelchair Loan

A manual wheelchair for people with mobility difficulties is available for use.  Please request this when booking tickets.

Should you have any difficulties during your visit or regarding your onward journey, please contact a member of The Brewhouse Front of House team.

Studio Access

The Brewhouse Studio is easily accessible for wheelchair users. If you are a wheelchair user, please mention this when booking your tickets for performances in The Studio.

The Workshop

The Workshop can be accessed by using the ramp in the Link area.  The ramp leads to the Workshop and it there is a handrail for assistance.

Bar & Restaurant

The bar and restaurant area is accessible to all.  If you are a wheelchair user please mention when booking your table in the restaurant and a suitable table will be selected for you.

Toilets

All toilets can be accessed using the ramp in the Link area, which also has a handrail for assistance.

Sign Language Interpreted Performances

The Brewhouse aims to provide at least three signed performances per programmed season.  During these performances a British Sign Language Interpreter will be positioned on the stage.  Specific seats with a clear view of the signer are reserved in the main house auditorium and should be requested when booking.

Hearing Dogs

Support dogs are welcome throughout The Brewhouse. Please mention this when booking and we can allocate suitable setas and arrange for a bowl of water for your dog before or after the performance, or in the interval. Alternatively, if you contact us in advance we can look after your dog during the performance.

Audio Described Performances

The Brewhouse aims to provide at least three audio described performances per programmed season. The audio described performances provide the audience with a description of the set, the characters, the costume, the scene and the lighting throughout the performance, interspersing with the actors dialogue. The information is relayed through a headset that will be given to you on arrival at The Brewhouse. The headsets must be booked when booking your tickets (at no extra cost) and collected from the Box Office before the performance.

Touch Tours

A number of our audio described performances are also available with a Touch Tour, which takes place before the performance. There are limited spaces so make sure that you request the tour when booking your seats and audio headset. Visually impaired customers have the opportunity to explore the set and and feel the costumes, as well as chat to members of the cast about their characters. These tours are booked through the Box Office and are free of charge.

Guide Dogs
